FSSOLLA Re-launch
21.01.22
As I’ve mentioned before, I never intended to take this long in terms of making / taking a step back from FSSOLLA, but better late the never.
I started FSSOLLA in Nov 2020 and planned to keep the ball rolling for as long as I could but unfortunately (maybe fortunately in hindsight) got made redundant in Jan 2021 so had to prioritise looking for a new job. Thankfully I got back to work shortly after (an actual miracle that friends and family will confirm) and have spent the past couple of months settling in and ‘finding my feet’.
I think many of you will agree that it’s been a pretty wild few years and any form of respite has been greatly welcomed. And the above is what respite has looked like for me (not entirely / always).
To put it simply, I’ve really enjoyed working with different clay bodies and experimenting with forms, so much so that I stayed awake until 6AM one day making handless cups (I started in the evening, not that that normalises / justifies what I did but just some context)
I could keep going but I will keep this brief (maybe past the point of brief now). I’m pleased to see everything come together to form a relatively cohesive collection, but equally just as excited to see them go off in to your homes!
